We have had to change location to Main's Mansion for Pub Night. I called Smash to make the reservation and they have several large groups on Thursday so cannot accomodate us (unless it was for 7.30 - which is too late). My apologies for this.

If you had already registered, I will 'reregister' you for the Mansion. If for some reason you do not want to go to the Mansion then let me know and I will unregister you. 

If of course you do wish to attend on Thursday and haven't yet done so please respond 'register' or 'decline' by Tuesday.

The May 27 regular Rotary meeting has been replaced by the Paul Harris Scholarship Haward Dinner on May 28

Please join us for the Paul Harris Scholarship presentations. For our newer members, these are presented every year to students from schools in Scarborough. These are named after Paul Harris who is of course the founder of Rotary. This year 6 students will be awarded $5,000.00 each. This is done by us jointly with other Scarborough Clubs - Scarborough, Agincourt, Scarborough Bluffs, Scarborough Twilight and Scarborough Passport. .

The $50 cost includes dinner and parking. Further details will be provided closer to the date.

Rotary's Sneaker Drive

Dr. Gupta will be on Zoom on June 10 – speaking on the National Forum on Health and Well Being.

Please join us next Wednesday June 17th for pub night. Please note that this on Wednesday, not the usual Thursday. The reason being that Canada are playing their second World Cup match on the 18th against Qatar at 6.00pm and I'm sure all of you will want to watch it. England are playing on the Wednesday but that is at 4.00pm so the match wil be over just in time to get to Smash. (All events until July 20th have to be scheduled around World Cup matches!) 

As usual please respond by Monday 15th so I can confirm the number with them.

I expect you have already 'saved the date' for this from my previous email.

Please try and join us for our annual Charter/Presidents Party at Sue and Gordon's house on Thursday July 30th. For our newer members this were we celebrate the anniversary of our club being chartered, which was on June 12th 1962. 

The food will be catered by Village Grocer (as it has been the last few years). Please bring your own beer, wine etc., although we will have bottled water. We have to confirm the cost with Village Grocer but will try and keep it to about the same as last year - $40 p/p.

Dave Hardy will be entertaining us with his musical skills. We will be awarding some Paul Harris Fellowships as well.

I will send more information closer to the date, especially regarding the construction going on in the neighborhood. 

I need to know as soon as possible if you plan on attending. NO LATER THAN JULY 23RD PLEASE. 'Register or Decline'.
