Marbelous Draw:
Peter conducted the draw and Maddy’s daughter drew the ticket which was claimed by Sharyn Manuel, but she couldn’t find the mutant marble so was given $5 as a consolation.
Sergeant-At-Arms:
Kevin Manuel didn’t fine anyone, but just asked for Happy Bucks: Kevin Moore contributed as he was happy to be in attendance. Jack Holman was happy to be 84 today. Dhanni contributed as she had recovered from an accident involving her thumb and a blender and having to have quite a few stitches! Peter was surprised last Saturday at the Baton Rouge with a surprise 80th birthday party for him with a lot of family members. Yet another birthday contribution from Arthur who was taken to a Blue Jays game for his birthday. Maddy was happy her daughter was back from a lot of traveling- including being at a music camp. Kevin Manuel was happy that Sharyn joined him for dinner and contributed the $5 that Sharyn just won!

Program:
Our speaker today was Past President Maddy with her ‘TV Auction Kick Off’.
(Before she gave her presentation she reminded us of the Foundation Walk on September 20th at Morningside Park.)
The Auction this year is on November 27, 28 and 29 (the 29th being just for ‘pick up’). Important dates to be noted:
item entry and sponsorship deadline is October 30th
delivery of items is November 6th
and sorting November 7th.
There are 5 teams this year and she will be e-mailing everyone in the next few days advising of the teams.
Maddy gave out some packages with information including a flyer that can be used, sponsorship information and item entry form. She advised that if you want to buy some hockey tickets (at cost) and then donate them you can contact Al Meredith. Maddy also advised that she had confirmed with Doug that tax receipts can be issued to individuals (not companies) for items that have a ‘clear value’. Dhanni is the sponsorship coordinator, so any sponsorships should be given to Dhanni.

[The noise from the birthday party next door during Maddy's presentation has made listening to her difficult. Here is the link]

Dhanni thanked Maddy for her presentation and the hard work she had done (and will be doing) for the Auction.

There being no further business Past President Maddy closed the meeting.
