Speaker: Incoming District Governor, Liz Compton, gave a presentation on the District Conference at the Novotel Hotel in North York on October 22-23, 2026.
The theme this year is “The Power of Love.” You will hear from keynote speakers, participate in breakout sessions, and meet or reconnect with friends. You will feel energized, entertained, and have fun.
Liz's love for Rotary began in 1992 in St. Lucia, where she built lifelong friendships. She has continued her Rotary journey here since 2019, when she joined the Toronto Leaside club. In July 2020, she became the President of the club and served as the President until January 2023, when she was honored with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. She became an Assistant District Governor in 2022.

Liz is looking forward to her new role as the DG for District 7070 in 2026-2027 with a focus on Membership and Belonging, coupled with Public Image.

Gordon Brown thanked Liz for her informative presentation and noted that he had attended several District Conferences where he felt enlightened and met new friends with common purposes.
