Our Contribution to our Community & the World

We are often asked "What does Rotary do?" The answer can be described in many ways such as volunteer hours, support for community groups and raising funds for distribution in the community and beyond.  Our income has varied from $45,000 to as high as $52,000 during the last 5 years, chiefly raised through our annual TV Auction held in November on Rogers Channel 63 in Scarborough and through a charity golf tournament during the summer months.

Here is a summary of what the North Scarborough Rotary Club has spent over the  five years2005 to 2009.
 
Our charitable activities are grouped into three categories. Some of the larger beneficiaries in each category are included below.

Youth & Vocational Service:

Camp Enterprise which introduces students to business principles      $30,075
