Announcements-

-November 2 is the Auction cut-off – to Rocco Colangelo

-Basil Dias suggested that we auction off a weekend for two at Camp Enterprise.

- Gerd Wengler informed us that he had flown an endangered owl so to a breeding facility over the weekend.

-On a lighter note- Gerd  Wengler had a blonde joke, Jim Boyko told a golf story and Al Meredith had a joke to finish off. (You had to be there!)

Marbelous Draw- Rocco Colangelo did the honours and he pulled his own lucky ticket. Incoming President Gerd Wengler stepped in and insisted that Rocco’s luck was genuine and should stand. Unfortunately, the mutant marble eluded his grasp and lives for another day.

Sergeant at Arms-Arthur Retnakaran fined everyone who did not know that Antarctica has the most southern Rotary Club in the world.

-Arthur then fined anyone who didn’t know that Jonas Salk was very important to Rotary and that he was celebrating his one hundredth birthday

 Happy Bucks-

-Al Meredith reported that he had a great cruise.

-Carolyn Nicholson was happy to report that their trip to China was the trip of a lifetime.

-Basil Dias had spent a wonderful weekend in Niagara-on-the-lake with Dorothy, who enjoyed a little retail therapy. Basil figured his bar bill and Dorothy’s therapy probably came out nearly the same.

-Arthur Retnakaran was happy to be asked to go to China and speak on “The day before yesterday, the science of aging”. On November 2, Arthur will travel with his son to China, then on to India. He will return home around November 24.

-Rocco Colangelo was happy to return his winnings and reminded everyone to respond to Kevin Manuel with their availability for the TV Auction, so that he can complete the schedule.

 Program-

Today’s program was Director’s Reports.

Due to the detailed nature of the reports please listen to the voice file for all the details.
