This is a presentation of the final report for the 2014 Scarborough Renewal Campaign and a celebration of this campaign. • Gordon also reminded us to register for the “Fireside” at Gerd’s office on Friday April 17th at 6:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for members to give guidance to the incoming president on club direction and future wish lists. Please make the effort to attend and remember that partners are welcomed.    • Kevin Manuel announced that the TV Auction meetings for this year are starting, and club participation is requested. Please contact Kevin to offer your help.

Sergeant at Arms:
SAA Frank Allison fined members who had enjoyed an extended vacation in Cancun, and members who enjoyed a special meal, fruit and tea.
James was happy that his daughter has been accepted for the masters program in education.
Jack was happy with the comedy show, and
Arthur was ecstatic that his son and daughter have both contributed towards the Habitat for Humanity matching fund in honour of Arthur’s late wife.
Gordon Brown introduced our guest speaker, Joanne Niblock, District Vice President, Retail Sales with Mackenzie Investments.
Joanne presented a very informative and enlightening talk on Registered Disability Savings Plans (RDSP’s), a program we previously knew very little about.   Launched in 2008 by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, there are matching contributions by both Federal and Provincial governments. To qualify, a beneficiary must be a recipient of a disability tax credit, be less than 60 years old, and have a valid SIN number. We heard about Canada Disability Savings Grants, Canada Disability Savings Bonds, maximum lifetime contributions and age eligibility. To learn more, please listen to Joanne’s presentation, or talk to David or Gordon. Editor’s note a short portion of the presentation was not recorded but Ms. Niblock’s presentation for the most part is attached at the following link:

The slide show presentation is attached.:

Kevin Manuel thanked Joanne and presented her with an Operation Eye Sight Certificate.
Next meeting April 15th, Mike Cooksey will brief us on this year's Foundation Walk
