Pan-Am Gold Medal Winner & Olympic Hopeful

Arthur’s story is quite remarkable. He was a pre-schooler when his family fled the war in Chechnya, living in Azerbaijan before arriving in Canada.  At age twelve, after encouragement from his brother, Arthur took up boxing as a means of self-defense. His natural talent and dedication to the sport resulted in an incredible journey. Arthur has qualified for the Olympics and is on his way to Rio. In addition to pursuing undergraduate studies in psychology at York University’s Faculty of Health, Arthur’s goal is to bring home the gold for Canada!
