  1. We have received a very nice "thank-you" from Hope Air in response to our recent donation of $2,500. It costs aprox. $140 to transport each patient, so this will help many people.
  2. Our Christmas Party is on Friday December 9th at the Scarborough Golf Club. If you haven't responded yet to Gordon Brown's invitation, please do so. Gordon needs to know whether you plan to attend.
  3. A reminder that our Club's elections are scheduled for December 9th. Nominations are still open for all offices.
  4. Our Club is still looking for a RYLA candidate for this Spring. If you know of a young person whom you think would benefit from this great Rotary program, please contact Jacqueline Smith.
  5. The Scarborough Community Renewal Organization is holding the event "Building the Workforce of Tomorrow in Scarborough". This signature event on Thursday December 1st will be held at Centennial College at 6:30 pm. Featured speakers include our own Dave Hardy, as well as Sean Conway and Dr. Wendy Cukier. Free admission, and light refreshments, what more could we ask for?
  6. The Toronto City Mission is holding their Christmas dinner for the children and their families on Tuesday December 13th at St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, located at 3817 Lawrence Avenue East. We have been invited to attend.
  7. Further to our "Warm Hands" project, we have been asked to provide gloves for Woburn Junior Public School. Madhavi has the gloves and will deliver them to the school.

He also collected Happy Bucks from various Rotarians out on a beautiful, sunny winter day.
