Announcements-
-Gordon Brown announced that there will be a Pub Night at the Fox Goes Free next Thursday night, November 5, 2015. Please accept or decline the invitation so that we know you have received it.
-Group 2-3 will be packing meals for kids- “Kids against Hunger” Nov 2, 2015 1-4pm. Please contact Donna Salamalay for further information.
- Kevin Manuel reported that the TV Auction is coming soon!!! We are only half way there. We need another hundred items for the auction. The deadline for bringing items in has been extended to next Friday, November 6, 2015. If you have any items, please report them as soon as possible.
-Maddy Chandrasekaran is now doing item entry as well as delivery.
-Lawn signs are available- Contact Kevin Manuel
- This year the TV Auction will be live stream on U Tube. This will give us a much broader audience.
-The TV Auction will be advertised on 680 radio for eight days prior to the auction.
-Sponsorship deadline remains the same.
-The logistical sort will be on November 14, 2015
-Jacqueline Smith has applied for membership and it has been approved.
-Please sign up to volunteer for the TV Auction. We need thirty six volunteers.
-  David Lockett (Pact) and Joe Carter will be guest speakers on November 3, 2015, at the Scarborough Rotary Club’s regular meeting.
-David Seemungal  brought us great news!  Africa is now Polio Free as of a couple of days ago!
- Foundation Dinner will be held November 4, 2015 in Oshawa.
- There will be a Goodwill Event November 4, 2015- contact Jacqueline Smith.
Marbelous Draw-
- Mike Mushet asked Garry to do the honours and as luck would have Basil’s ticket was drawn. Unfortunately, the mutant marble eluded Basil’s grasp and lives for another day. Basil was rewarded with a five dollar bill.
Sergeant at Arms-
-Gordon Brown fined anyone who had not brought in items for the TV Auction. Apparently everyone in attendance had.
Happy Bucks-
-Basil  Dias contributed his lucky five dollars.
-Frank Allison was happy to be back after spending six weeks in Britain, where he managed to see his beloved team play four times.
-Roland List was happy that he sold his house in Utah.
Program-
Gordon Brown introduced Steve Rutledge, our Guest Speaker. Steve Rutledge president of “Adopt a Village in Laos,” spoke to us about the progress bringing water to these remote areas has made. He showed us video interviews with some of the people that this program has impacted directly.       
The details of Steve Rutledge’s presentation will be provided via a voice file separately. Please listen to it, as the presentation was very detailed.
