Announcements:
-Dhanni Ramdeen announced there is board meeting March 31 at 6:30 PM at her house
-David Seemungal asks us to consider in becoming a benefactor by making a commitment to RI to make a donation of 10K US$ or more to the foundation which will also qualify you for a membership in the Bequest Society.   
-President Gerd and Donna visited the "Precious Blood Catholic School" on Pharmacy Avenue S. of 401 and met with the school principal Mr. Rossi, this is one of the school our Club supports with the breakfast program.  This school has taken in 35 Syrian refugees kids. Gerd says they were impressed the way the school is run and summarized the meeting as a very interesting experience.
-Ashwani Bhardwas reminded us of the upcoming federal Post-Budget Breakfast hosted by the Scarborough Rotary Clubs including our Club, next Monday April 4, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00AM at JC's Banquet Hall, 1686 Ellesmere Road (east of McCowan Rd) the cost is $35 at the door (cash only) or $25 if pre-register on line www.budgetbreakfast.ca.  President Gerd hopes that a good numbers from our Club are able to attend.
Marbelous Draw - Madhavi conducted the draw the lucky ticket drawn belonged to Rocco he wasn't able to find the mutant marble and donated the $5 consolation price back to the Club coffer.
Sergeant At Arms – Gordon Brown drew fines from anyone who didn’t know that the theme for the month of March for the Rotary year 2015-2016 is the "Water Sanitation Month" after collecting from most of us present, Gordon asked for happy bucks, himself for one was happy his favored soccer team beat Germany, oh well loose some  win some.  There were many happy $s donated too many to recall.

Our speaker today was Dr. Julie Caron – Family Medicine Resident @ U of T, Working at Scarborough hospital.  Julie is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Toronto Skyline and currently the Club’s Foundation Chair.
Julie is the founder & chair of “CWEF (Canadian World Education Foundation) Tanzania”
CWEF Tanzania was established in November 2011 and is committed to empowering orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania through education sponsorship, i.e. to sending children to school who otherwise would not be able to attend. Currently providing long-term education sponsorship for close to 50 children through general donations.  CWEF Tanzania works collaboratively with the Saidia Agriculture and Social Care Organization (SASCO) which was granted NGO status from the United Republic of Tanzania in September 2011.
 Julie travels to Tanzania at least once a year to oversee how things are going.
Today Julie told us about the excellent achievements in Tanzania through this organization.
