The first-ever Canada Day Scarborough celebration was held on July 1 at the Scarborough Civic Centre and Albert Campbell Square, from noon to 10pm. This two-day festival consisted of a Citizenship Swearing In ceremony, multicultural performances, food, kids activities and many more. On Canada Day, sixteen rotarians from all five Scarborough clubs welcomed ninety-four new Canadians who emigrated from twenty-eight countries; after the swearing-in ceremony at the Scarborough Council Centre, everyone enjoyed the festivities!
