Speaker: District Governor Dr. Beth Selby was introduced by Assistant Governor Hadia Raheel.

Dr. Selby shared her joy at hosting exchange students particularly a future Dr. Leticia Marquis, a former exchange student from Mexico.  She pointed out that exchange students symbolize this year’s RI Theme – Rotary Connects the World.  She said International President Daniel Mark Maloney identified four goals: 1) grow Rotary 2) involve our families, 3) build a viable path to Rotary leadership 4) renew Rotary’s history with the United Nations.  The new Rotary Vision is Unite People and Take Action.

Beth’s goals for our District are: 1) 20 in 2020 referring to 20 exchange students in and out of the District; 2) assist Presidents to strengthen Clubs; 3) improved uptake of Global and District Grants; 4) increase public service activities; 5) increase and heighten our public image.  She stated that our District is pursuing the ‘mill for Bill’ program so as to make District 7070 the largest contributor to the Foundation.  She ended by pointing out the great program for the District Conference in October and invited everyone to attend.
