  11. Speaker – Anne Kozich, Program Development Officer for the Air Cadets spoke about introducing the Air Cadet Programs for the young kids. They have 110 kids varying in age from 12 to 19 and they were taught various life lessons for 7 years including gliding lessons. They meet for 3 days a week and occupy 3 rooms and the gym facilities at the Stephen Leacock High School by paying $10,000 to the TDSB. Shy youngsters who joined the Program ended up becoming confident leaders.
Mike Mushet thanked our speaker and presented Anne with a cheque in support to Air Cadet from our Club.

Conclusion – Gerd thanked everyone for attending and concluded the meeting  by ringing the bell (In 1922, U.S. Rotarians organized an attendance contest; the challenge was that the losing clubs would join in giving the winning club a prize. The Rotary Club of New York City was declared the winner and to them was awarded as a prize a bell  from a popular patrol boat, which was placed on wood that came from HMS “Victory”, Admiral Nelson’s vessel at the battle of Trafalgar. And thus began the tradition of bell ringing!)
