“What’s Wrong with the Fishery. The Impact of Seals”.

A discussion on the fishery crisis facing Atlantic Canada and particularly Newfoundland and Labrador. Most fish stocks in critical stage after continued quota cuts and decline in commercial fishing activity for past three decades.  The impact on communities and the economy is significant. Canada has the largest seal populations in the world (by far) and the impact by this alpha predator group has largely been overlooked.
