Gordon introduced Bill Martin, our Guest Speaker for today.
Bill is a native of PEI. He is married with three kids, has been a Rotarian for many years and hobbies include sailing, golf, reading and spending time with family. Bill is an entrepreneur and the owner of the Water Street Bakery & Deli; however, his focus is currently on fulfilling his duties as Mayor of Summerside, PEI.  Bill is committed to bringing 1,000 new jobs to the city by the end of his term next year. Summerside has a good balance of productivity and lifestyle, offering access to turnkey infrastructure. An attraction is the ease of doing business and the city has developed a portfolio of projects & partnerships across diverse industries, including Clean Energy, Aerospace, Medical Diagnostics and Call Centers. Summerside is seeking to start a conversation around business expansion opportunities.

Arthur thanked Bill for his informative presentation and expressed appreciation for him taking the time to include our Club in his visit of local Rotary Clubs.
