Attendance: 14, including guest speaker, Dave Lockett. 

 

Basil Dias introduced Dave Lockett, the speaker from PACT.

 

Basil known Dave for a very long time, he met Dave at 42 Police Division and is proud of the work PACT is doing to keep first time young offenders from the jail system.

 

Dave thanked our club for our unwavering support to PACT which also provides life planning and coaching support to high risk youths among others life changing programs.

Announcements:  

o Gerd Wengler conveyed a “Thank You” from GRID, a program our club supported last year.

 

o Basil Dias – is looking for volunteers to collect donations at the gate at the RibFest that is coming up on Aug 2 to 5, 2019.

o Basil Dias also announced that Baton Rouge will now provide meals to vegetarian, this means that there will be no more chicken fingers on the menu.

 

 

Marbelous Draw: 

David Seemungal conducted the draw and President Barry Smith won the consolation prize as grand prize was won at the end of June.

 

 

SAA – Tony Baker –

Fines was imposed to the members who did not respond yet to volunteer at the Rib Feast. Also, more fines were imposed on those who do not know the exact time 50 years ago when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon.  

 

 

o From Gordon – England won world cup in cricket

o From Basil – Toronto beat Montreal in football.

o Tony Baker – Every year, his allergies goes away when the Wimbledon tennis match is finished.

 

 

I don't want to brag but i just completed a jig-saw puzzle in just 1 week and the box said 2 to 4 years.  Danny
