Announcements:
Barry will be arranging a meeting of our International Group as soon as he can zoom in on their
members.
Rocco has organized a Club Service meeting for March 7th.
President Danny has met with the newly constituted Fund Raising Committee and will be
presenting some ideas.
Danny encouraged our club to take part in the District Conference in Oshawa on May 13th to
15th. Lots of great speakers lined up, and as usual, fantastic hospitality rooms.
Rocco Introduced our own Dave Hardy to speak on his recent book.
Dave, a trained facilitator, and member of the International Association of Facilitators talked about his best-selling book, “ Who are these people and why are they yelling at me.”
Dave was entertaining and impressive, and the recording of his presentation is a “must listen.”
The core of the book is about hosting difficult meetings, handling policies and issues, and touches on engaging people when they are angry.
The book also establishes norms for desirable behavior and gets people talking to each other.
Dave recommended getting trained facilitators to run meetings instead of untrained volunteers.
