Program:
Alan Meredith introduced today’s speaker, our own Danny Cassidy, to update us on the 2025 Princess Margaret Ride to Conquer Cancer event.
Danny showed us a short presentation and explained the settings for the ride, which starts in Mississauga and ends in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The event took place on June 7 and 8. About 4,500 riders cycled over 200 km to raise funds for such a great cause.
Danny showed a photo of his team that raised over $22,000.00

We also saw just how many people participated in the 2010km ride, which raised $20.1 million for cancer research.

The routes, 2 days:

Every year, there is a ceremony where a riderless bike is walked down between the riders to remember those riders who died in the previous year. Erin had cancer for many years, but still participated in the ride during her illness. "Team Erin" was created during that time, and it has raised over $1 million to date. She died 2 months after leaving her hospital bed to cross the finish line for the last time.
