Toast to the King, Canada, and Rotary: President Danny
Land Acknowledgement: President Danny
Attendance: 16
Guests: None
Speaker: Avrum Liederman
Saifoo Introduced today's speaker.
Avrum shared his transition from 30+ years at Investors Group to Wellington Altus Private Wealth. The transition allows him to offer broader and more diverse services and products to clients. Wellington Altus Private Wealth is a fast-growing Winnipeg-origin investment firm that is best managed with a top rating. It is backed by the Schedule 1 National Bank of Canada. His 10-person team is now managing $500 million in assets. The wide range of products includes estate planning, managing risk, and financial investment products, including alternative investment portfolios. He said this is important because of the potential for a market correction every 10 years. Their relationship with PIMCO provides a safe pool of investors that pay 8 to 9% per year. They also look to invest in companies such as K-Bro Linen Inc., Palantir, and Highliner Foods.
Thank the Speaker, Frank Allison

The District Conference at the Fern Resort is almost full. There are no rooms available at the resort; however, day tickets can be purchased online. https://fernresort.com/group-booking/

Gerd said that he enjoyed swimming in his underwear at the Charter President’s party. Dave suggested that to make him feel more comfortable next year, we might all want to consider attending in our underwear.
Closure: Basil said he bought an umbrella at the Calgary Rotary International convention. It had the word peace in many languages printed on the sides. He shares the word peace in Italian, Portuguese, and German. It also came with a book that features Nobel Peace Prize winners. He singled out Dr. Martin Luther King in 1954.
With nothing else to do for the good of Rotary, President Danny closed the meeting.
