Madhavi Chandrasekaran MBA PMP LSSGB
President 2014-2015 | Director – Rotary Foundation

Maddy provided members with an update on her career since Westjet and gave a reclassification talk.  She is now the Senior Director, Member Services at Info-Tech Research Group and Advisors.  It is a company serving 30,000 IT professionals, and its Toronto office is in the home of the old ‘Rock Pile Concert Hall, the location of Led Zeppelin’s first North American appearance.  Dave and Judy Hardy were at that performance, and there were only 30 people in the audience.  On the way out, they had a chance to talk to Jimmy Page and told him their music had a lot of potential, and if they worked hard, they might do well.

Info-Tech helps IT professionals and helps large IT Departments keep up.  You can get their services by subscription – compared to having to buy Led Zeppelin’s CDs or do downloads through Spotify.  Maddy shared a slide showing their governance framework indicating that Info-Tech provides services across the full spectrum of info technology, health, services, fintech, etc.  They also certify businesses.  She didn’t specify whether any of the businesses had gone Platinum many times or had won multiple Grammys.  But I’m sure that they do very well because of the support they receive from Info-Tech.
She noted that Rotary International uses Info-Tech for its website.  She shared the Info-Tech vision, which was quite impressive.  It was important that Info-Tech has an excellent customer relationship approach, and they always ask probing questions at each client meeting.  Questions were asked about whether Apple is a competitor.  No questions were asked about Led Zeppelin.
Basil thanked Maddy for her fine presentation.
