Chair of the Meeting: President Danny Cassidy

Anthem: Rocco Colangelo

Toast to The King, Canada and Rotary: President Danny Cassidy

Land Acknowledgement: President Danny Cassidy

Attendance: 11 members, 1 guest Mike Conway.

Speaker: Alan Meredith

Our guest speaker was our very own Alan Meredith, who was warmly introduced by Arthur.

In Alan’s many years in our club, he has always enjoyed our “hands on” projects, whether it be taking kids to Christmas parties, seniors to dinner and a show, planting trees etc.

And therefore, when Alan met a couple from Pennsylvania who were staying at his resort in Mexico, he discovered that they were members of a Rotary Club in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the Seaside Rotary Club, their major project involved providing shoes to kids in the area of a School called Christo Rey.

With Alan’s help, a donation from our club, and lots of other donations, the Seaside Club raised $12,000 to buy 430 pairs of shoes of various sizes and styles to distribute to kids. Alan really enjoyed distributing the shoes.

Alan was thanked by Courtney.
