Update on District 7070 Conference Oct 25 – 27, 2024

Vice President Gordon Brown introduced our guest speaker.

Tina Martin is a newly retired garden designer - she worked with her husband for over 30 years with their landscape construction business. She is a quilter and works part time in a little fabric store in Uxbridge. Tina is a new Rotarian by rotary standards, only 5 years. She was a past president during the pandemic and current president for Markham Sunrise. She will be an Assistant District Governor (ADG) next year (club assignments TBD).

After thanking Gordon for the introduction, Tina told us she is the Co-Chair for the 2024 District 7070 Conference and is actively involved in organizing the event.

The Conference is scheduled from October 25 to 27, 2024. Hosted by District Governor-Elect Virginia O’Reilly and held at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort in Alliston Ontario. It promises to be an exciting event filled with irresistible fun, food, fellowship, and a great lineup of keynote speakers.

Attendees can expect engaging sessions, networking opportunities, and a chance to connect with fellow Rotarians. Rita recommended us to register for the event prior to June 30, 2024 to take advantage of the early bird rates for the Conference fee and hotel accommodation.
