Speaker: Terry Caputo - incoming District 7070 Governor and Chair of Governance committee.
Terry was introduced by Basil Dias.
Governance – Governance is important for successfully managing each club. Board members need to ensure there is compliance with the Not for Profit Corporation Act. Our strategic plan also provides corporate board guidance, risks, politics and budgets as well as direction. Each club answers directly to Rotary International.
The district governance committee is available to assist and advise on:
Preparing for club meetings.
Strategic planning, risk management process such as health and safety planning and training, performance reporting, code of conduct, business continuity and succession planning.
Youth protection and vulnerable persons policies, financial management policies, governance and operations policies, nomination and election procedures and ethics guidelines.

President Danny announced that the furnace auction is currently at $3,900.
Sargeant at Arms: Frank Allison
Frank did not issue any fines and instead gathered Happy Bucks
Danny is happy for the 14th year since his cardiac arrest
Gerd is happy he did his first 60km hike after his operation and 6000km road trip through the Atlantic provinces.
Basil is happy for Tom Milton’s 94th Birthday and Tom gave his regards to the club.
Michael and Frank were just happy.
There being no further business for the good of Rotary, Danny closed the meeting.
