President Avrum Presented the names of Gordon Brown, President, for the year 2024-25, and Danny Cassidy, V.P. year 2024-25. Avrum put this to a vote and the motion was unanimously carried.
Basil introduced our guest, Commissioner Hasiya Biu, who wasvisiting from her Rotary Club in Nigeria. Hasiya gave a short talk on her club and presented and exchanged club banners with President Avrum.
President Avrum reminded us that we still need volunteers for a future 2024 year ahead forecast in the areas of sports, finance, and politics.
White Elephant Auction.
Our illustrious Rotarian Alan Meredith, acting as head auctioneer, Started the auction and made every item seem very valuable and interesting. As a result, the club raised a total of $635.00 approx.

Gordon did a wonderful job of collecting extra funds from Happy Bucks. No fines.
Speaker for January 31st:
Olga Vashakmadzi represents the Rotary Club Kyiv Business International, which was established in 2020. Olga is one of the founders of the club. Most members are from or connected with international business, ex-pats, and local businesspeople. They have known each other for many years. After the war started, unfortunately, more than half of the members left the country and the club. Today, they can handle small projects like Smart Aid. A small presentation will be shown.
Note: Olga's original purpose in visiting us was not to do a presentation but to meet to see how we operate in Canada and have a social afternoon. We asked her to present, and she agreed, which is very good of her on short notice.
