Please join us for Pub Night on Thurday at 'Smash Restaurant and Bar'. Quite a few of you did not want to go to The Mansion again and we were going to go to The Coach House in Ballantrae but they are not able to accomodate us for about 20 people.

As you can see from the address, Smash is on Hwy 7 west of Kennedy in a plaza.

As usual please respond 'register or decline' by Tuesday as I have to confirm the number to them on Wednesday.

Our District Governor Virginia O'Reilly will be hosting a joint Scarborough Clubs meeting at Floga's on Thurday October 17th. It is unfortunate that it is they day before our Fall Gala - I did mention this but they are not able to change it.

The cost is $35 per person. If you wish to invite anyone please do so and register them as a guest.

If you are attending and have any special dietary requirements please let me know.

As we have this event and the Fall Gala in October we won't be having a Pub Night and there will not be a lunch meeting on the 16th.

If you will be attending this District Governor's meeting please register as I have to let them know.

You have probably already saved the date.

Please join us for our Christmas / Holiday Party at Floga's on Friday November 29th. It will be the same as last year with a buffet and we have Brock as the DJ so you will be able to 'dance the night away'. The cost will be the same as last year at $60.00p/p.

Please try and join us for our annual Christmas / Holiday lunch. We will have a Christmas kind of lunch. If you can please bring a donation (canned or dry food etc.) for Courtney's Rising Sun Food Bank. You are encouraged to invite your 'significant other', family and friends. To help get in the festive mood, perhaps wear a Christmas sweater, hat etc. We usually have Dave Hardy bring his guitar and have a sing-a-long, but he and Judy will most likely be in Calgary welcoming their new grandbaby. Any volunteers to 'stand in' for Dave? 

It will be the usual cost of $25.00

Please join us on Thursday for Pub Night at Smash. This will be our last 'official' get together until next year. We had our last Pub Night there and everyone enjoyed it and the food is very good.

(Smash is on Hwy 7 west of Kennedy Road. Go west on 7 past Kennedy and once you cross the railway tracks turn left into the plaza at the lights.)

I have to confirm the number with them by midday Wednesday so as usual please respond by registering or declining by Tuesday evening (10th).

Wednesday February 5th, Michele Guy will speak to us at our club about the Calgary 2025 International Rotary Convention.

She was co-chair of the Toronto 2018 Rotary Convention and past president of the Toronto Rotary Club.

Basil picked up the gloves etc.today. We now have to sort them into bags to be delivered to the schools. We will be meeting at Floga's at 6.00pm on Monday to do this. We will order dinner first and can start sorting while we are waiting, then if dinner comes before we are finished, we will take a break and carry on afterwards.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY SATURDAY EVENING IF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO COME AND HELP.
