Tina is President of Markham Sunrise and Co-Chair of the District Conference. She will be telling all about the exciting events and speakers that will be at the Conference at the Nottawasaga Resort in Alliston

As of this morning we only have 8 people registered and of those only 4 are members (the others being Carolyn and Art and Tom and Nevena Boyko).

Danny and Ruth have been kind enough to host this and it is a lot of work for them. IF WE DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 16 PEOPLE REGISTERED BY MIDDAY SATURDAY WE WILL CANCEL EUCHRE NIGHT AND HAVE A PUB NIGHT INSTEAD!

Danny Cassidy and Ruth have kindly agreed to host a Euchre Party on Wednesday May 15^th at 6.30pm at their house. It doesn’t matter if you are not a ‘euchre player’ lessons will be given.  The cost will be $25 p/p. We will be having a buffet with salmon, quinoa, Chicago beef on a bun, lasagna and salad. It will of course be a ‘bring your own bottle' event.

Space is limited to the first 24 people who register.

As we had to cancel Euchre Night we are having a Pub Night instead. Southsides where we used to go has been sold and will reopen as an Indian Restaurant, so we will have it at 'Main's Mansion' on Main Street Markham on the west side. See the map on this invite. Please try and attend the Paul Harris Scholarship Awards next Wednesday June 5th at Floga's.

Jim Louttit who was at the R.I. convention in Singapore is going to speak about micro-finance in villages and pairing with World Vision's philanthropic arm. We will also have some RYLA students there including the one we sponsored

The cost is $35 p/p. You can pay cash at the door or e-transfer to Dhanni (dramdeen88@gmail.com).

Please note there will (of course) not be a lunch meeting that day.

Please join us on Friday July 26th (not 18th that was mentioned a recent Rotateller) for our Charter / Presidents party. This will be your opportunity to thank Avrum for his leadership this year and welcome our 'new' President. Also to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of our Club. We will be having this at 'The Gardens' in Swan Lake - the same place as last year. Assuming the weather is alright we will be able to gather inside and outside. As we did last year, the food will be catered by The Village Grocer. We will supply some bottled water but any other drinks please bring your own.

The cost will be in the $30 to $40 range. Swan Lake is in Markham just off of 16th Ave. and about hafway between Ninth Line and Markham Rd. (Hwy 48). More specific directions to the Gardens in Swan Lake will be given closer to the time.

As we are having this catered we need to know how many people will be attending so PLEASE RESPOND 'REGISTER OR DECLINE' BY MONDAY JULY 22ND.
