Social night changed to Thursday November 16

Please join us for this month's social event next Thursday November 16th at Southsides.

As usual please respond by 'registering or declining' no later than Wednesday 15th so I confirm the number to them.

So far we have had only 9 members respond (either registered or declined), so my thanks to those who have. As of this morning we have a total of 15 members and guests registered. Agincourt have 11 that will be attending - so a total of 26. We need a minimum of 50.  I will be away with Sue from November 20th to 30th and I don't want to be 'worrying' about this while I'm away. So I am pleading with you now to please respond by Wednesday 15th - it takes 30 seconds to do it (unless you are registering a few guests).

We haven't had a Christmas / Holiday Party since December 2019 so please come and celebrate with us Saturday December 9th at Floga's. We will be having a buffet and also a DJ so you can dance the night away. You can invite other family members and friends too. So that we can ensure the minimum number of people (50) we will be inviting the other Scarborough Clubs. In the past Agincourt have always joined us.

We don't know the exact cost yet but we are estimating it to be $50 - $60 p/p.

It is imperative we know how many people will be attending as soon as possible, so please, please, please, please, please, please, please let us know as soon as you can by  registering or declining as soon as you can.

To those of you that have responded - thank you. As of today we only have 11 people registered for the Christmas lunch on Wednesday. I need to let Floga's know how many will be attending by midday Monday (11th). I also need to let them know how many 'chicken' and how many 'vegetarian'. To those of you who have already responded - thank you again and please let me know by email or phone call if you want chicken or vegetarian by midday Monday.

IF YOU HAVE NOT RESPONDED BY MONDAY I WILL HAVE ASSUME THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ATTENDING.

Next Wednesday December 13th we will be having a Christmas Lunch. Similar to last year, we will be having a turkey/chicken or vegetarian option. As this is a 'special' lunch you are encouraged to invite family and friends.

Dave Hardy has agreed to bring his guitar and lead us in a sing-along.

Courtney has requested donations for the Food Bank.

If you feel so inclided please 'feel free' to wear a Christmas sweater, socks, santa hat etc.

Tina is President of Markham Sunrise and Co-Chair of the District Conference. She will be telling all about the exciting events and speakers that will be at the Conference at the Nottawasaga Resort in Alliston

As of this morning we only have 8 people registered and of those only 4 are members (the others being Carolyn and Art and Tom and Nevena Boyko).

Danny and Ruth have been kind enough to host this and it is a lot of work for them. IF WE DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 16 PEOPLE REGISTERED BY MIDDAY SATURDAY WE WILL CANCEL EUCHRE NIGHT AND HAVE A PUB NIGHT INSTEAD!

Danny Cassidy and Ruth have kindly agreed to host a Euchre Party on Wednesday May 15^th at 6.30pm at their house. It doesn’t matter if you are not a ‘euchre player’ lessons will be given.  The cost will be $25 p/p. We will be having a buffet with salmon, quinoa, Chicago beef on a bun, lasagna and salad. It will of course be a ‘bring your own bottle' event.

Space is limited to the first 24 people who register.
