Barry has been active in the community for many years so we asked him to tell us: "Why Rotary? Why North Scarborough Club?"

I was introduced to Rotary by my father-in-law who was a Rotarian in Bermuda. My business partner was also a Rotarian in the Agincourt Rotary Club. When my father-in-law passed away in 1983, I inquired about joining Rotary to honour his memory and continue his commitment to service above self. My partner referred me to Agincourt's sponsoring Club, North Scarborough. I was impressed by the volume and scope of the good work that North Scarborough was accomplishing with very little fanfare. I was also impressed by the good humour and fellowship of the North Scarborough Rotarians. So I joined in 1984 and have enjoyed making a difference through this wonderful club over the years!
